Stacey Jones

Program Director Destiny Dads

In October of 2022, Stacey Jones joined Damascus Way as Program Director of our new fatherhood services, Destiny Dads. In this role, Stacey has taken on the leadership and facilitation of our Destiny Dads support groups along with individual case management. Stacey is excited about the addition of his role to our work at Damascus Way and sees the significant value that working with fathers and families has in ending recidivism. 

Stacey has an impressive resume that includes time as a physical education teacher, a gang intervention specialist and a manager of several coffee houses. He played college football and was also a football coach for Minneapolis Parks & Recreation. Stacey has experience working with homeless youth and youth advocacy and is a Hip-Hop artist, author and church planter. Since 2006 he has been involved in six different church plants, two of which were as senior pastor. Stacey currently serves as Senior Pastor of “Up-Rock Community Church in Northeast Minneapolis. 

Stacey has a Bachelors in Pastoral Studies and is completing his M.Div. at Sioux Falls Seminary. His passions and hobbies include reading, writing, Hip-Hop music (both listening and performing), grilling, sports and spending time with family and friends. He lives in Minneapolis with his wife Tryenyse and son Priest.
