Near the end of April, Damascus Way was able to connect with Claros Technologies, a company based in the Twin Cities which produces sustainably resourced products with specialized and innovative design. The masks are state of the art, manufactured by a company associated with the University of Minnesota and sponsored by the United States Department of Defense. The masks Claros creates, specifically the LOG3Mask, are assembled with “anti-viral properties” and textiles which have the ability to actually kill bacteria and COVID-19 upon contact at a 99% success rate!

Recently, a staff member at Damascus Way encountered a segment on Channel 5 news which highlighted the work of Claros and the incredible features of their masks. After contacting a representative with this Twin Cities located start-up, Damascus Way was able to become one of the first large scale donor recipients of the new LOG3Mask! Claros Technologies generously donated 300 pleated masks and 40 metro masks. As a result, we were able to give out these masks to residents and staff members at our Golden Valley campus! These products have an excellent filtration system and give us an increased ability to maintain a safe work and home environment for our employees and the men who live in our facility.

We are tremendously grateful to Claros for their donation and for the work they are doing to combat COVID-19. Thank you to everyone at Claros Technologies!
