As we near the end of March, Damascus Way looks back almost six months ago to the launch of our support groups for fathers in Scott County (Destiny Dads). During this time, we’ve seen the development of our program, which included the hire of Stacey Jones as Director of Youth & Family Services. In collaboration with staff from both our Golden Valley and Shakopee sites, Stacey has overseen the success of our weekly support groups for fathers, which take place from 6-7pm on Wednesday evenings at the Shakopee House. Our support group has already had six successful graduates of the eight-week course, some of whom continue to participate! We are excited to assist in the recovery and transformational journey of each individual that encounters Damascus Way!
This week we are excited to be participating in an Open House at the Family Resource Center in Shakopee! Several members of the Damascus Way team, including Stacey, will have a table set-up this Wednesday from 5-7pm at the FRC (Family Resource Center) as we join others in supporting “Strong Parents & Strong Families.”
